Interruption
Yeah, I guess you could call a highly-contagious, life-threatening virus an interruption - if you want to seriously underplay how bad things could get. Taking that into account, this is just a quick post to update on how things might change on this site for the foreseeable future.
Firstly, I still aim to keep to the current Monday/Thursday posting schedule, but this may become a little more erratic depending on my personal health or the personal health of those important to me and how much time is taken up having to deal with whatever may happen.
Worst case scenario that doesn't involve hospitalisation or worse? I'm bed-ridden for a few weeks and nothing is posted for a while, although I will set up a post that I can quickly get online if that turns out to be the case.
Best case scenario? I avoid becoming infected and, thanks to moving to working from home eliminating roughly two hours of travel each day, I have the time to watch, read or play even more stuff and post more frequently.
Already set for Thursday is a review of 300, followed next Monday by 21 Jump Street.
I'm also working my way through The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt although am still some way off finishing that as it's the Game of the Year edition and I'm not even close to finishing the base game yet, never mind the expansions.
I'll also be starting Batman: Arkham City soon and I swear I'll get around to finishing Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Fate of Atlantis DLC at some point. The problem the latter has is that it's lacking the characters and locales that made the base game so great. It's fun indulging in a sci-fi take on Greek myths, but it's a little too fantastical to really stick.
As for TV, I'm going to continue to clear up series already started, and following The Good Place will be the best Star Trek series, Deep Space Nine (yes, it is the best and I will fight you if you disagree).
Lastly, it's another taste of The Witcher as I'm working my way through The Last Wish, a collection of short stories that are mostly told throughout the Netflix adaptation's first season. It's been fun seeing what they changed and trying to figure out why!
