Come for the nostalgia, stay for the criminals getting absolutely obliterated.

Here's what I've been watching and playing over the last seven days...
MOVIES
Still my favourite Rian Johnson movie, still my joint favourite of 2019, and still a brilliant, brilliant movie with a fantastic cast doing incredible work, especially Ana de Armas as Marta and Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc.
A more comedic entry to be sure, but continues to be a worthy follow-up to the original, although I can understand if the tone didn't quite work for some people.
I think the biggest issue that I brought up in my original review remains the reason why this is still my least favourite of the series, although it is still enjoyable - too little Benoit Blanc.
GAMES
RoboCop: Rogue City
Game summary: Attempt to bring justice to the dangerous, crime-ridden streets of Old Detroit. (IMDb)
I quite often get motion sickness when playing first-person shooters, but I think RoboCop: Rogue City's slower pace avoided that problem this time and allowed me to enjoy a very good game.
And if you've seen the movies, you'll know that a slower pace fits RoboCop perfectly with his tendency to walk everywhere - at least here you can walk or jog, and even unlock a forward charge later on.
Adding in RoboCop's durability (also upgradeable) and firepower (VERY upgradeable), and Rogue City provides one hell of a faithful RoboCop experience.
I do just want to note how fucking satisfying it is using RoboCop's gun from the films - you don't really need any other weapons, especially once you find the right upgrades turning it into an infinite ammo superweapon.
The sound design is also top-notch and a perfect match for the films; you'll only hear the full theme a handful of times, but the developers picked their moments well.
As far as Rogue City looks, it's one of the most Jekyll-and-Hyde games ever, with RoboCop, the environments and the lighting look genuinely incredible most of the time - just a shame about some of the human character models which look like they're more than a decade out of date.
The other 'weak' point is the story, which does try and keep things fresh with multiple main antagonists, but I felt it was a little longer than it needed to be, as were some of the missions in the game, so it might come across as a little monotonous or repetitive if you play it for long stretches at a time.
Despite these minor weaknesses, I really did enjoy my time with Rogue City thanks mainly to how authentic a RoboCop experience it felt and if you like RoboCop, you'll almost certainly enjoy this too.
RoboCop: Rogue City isn't just a good RoboCop game, but a very good game in its own right and the second-best entry in the series behind the original movie. [8/10]
TV
Nothing new started yet, but it's Star Wars: Resistance up next and should be rating the first season in a couple of weeks' time.
