Heatwave

Why yes, I am in the UK - how did you guess?

This is going to be a very short post as I've spent most of the last week desperately trying to cool down thanks to just how hot it's been in the UK - humidity and high temperatures really don't go together
Here's what I've been watching and playing over the last seven days...
MOVIES
Sitting in a sealed room with a load of other people and their body heat? Yeah, that wasn't happening.
Even watching something at home was ruled out thanks to barely being able to pay attention when I had the time free thanks to the heat.
GAMES
I stopped playing this because my old PC kept crashing at the same point and there was no workaround, but there's no such problem with my new, more powerful PC.
I've only played a couple of minutes to make sure it worked, but this seems like a fitting game for a heatwave.
Now into Act 2 after blowing up the Gith creche (...again) and still having fun with my drow 'Sith'.
Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I have to admit, the sunny skies matching real life do make for some great views when you're thousands of feet in the air.
TV
Agent Carter, Season One
"Sin to Err"
Lots of fun as Peggy has to go on the run, proving just how dangerous she is to her colleagues that already dislike her.
Not a fan of how quickly Russian psychiatrist, Dr Ivchenko, is able to get people under his control though.
[8/10]
"SNAFU"
So long Chief Dooley, and it's interesting to note on a thematic level just how much more positive and proactive the SSR feels when fully including Peggy at all times.
Oh, and Bridget Regan's Dottie is incredible - her Spider-Man style staircase descent was just incredible and way beyond someone like Black Widow's skill level! [8/10]
"Valediction"
The finale couldn't quite deliver on the excellent build-up, but was still a fun enough ending - especially including one unexpected cameo right at the end to help set up the Winter Soldier program... [7/10]
Overall
Agent Carter's first season is a pretty solid show that hides its weaknesses well for the most part, helped by a magnificent leading lady in Hayley Atwell. [8/10]
